The seventh-generation bonding agent is used to reliably bond composite materials to enamel and dentin. DSI S7 BOND is a self-etching adhesive designed to adhere to multiple substrates for direct and indirect bonding procedures. It is a versatile one-step bonding that offers the same bond strength and durability as Total Etch Adhesive but eliminates the need for etching. Priming and bonding of tooth surfaces are performed simultaneously, which greatly simplifies the adhesion procedure.
Has properties of excellent adhesion to dentin (20-30 + MPa) and similar strength of micromechanical adhesion to both prepared and unprepared enamel. These properties allow it to be effectively used on all indirect surfaces (zirconia, alumina, glass ceramics, and metals) without a separate primer.
No moist bonding is required! DSI S7 is insensible to the amount of residual moisture (not contaminating saliva) or dryness on the surface of the preparation. The 7th generation acid-base reaction creates its own moisture on the surface of the restoration. The adhesion strength to both enamel and dentin is generally the same, regardless of moisture or lack of moisture on the prepared surfaces.
The patented DSI S7 monomer dissolves the smear layer without exposing the dentinal tubules thereby minimizing post-operative sensitivity. The deep penetration of the components of the adhesive system into the dentin and reliable sealing of the dentinal tubules served as the basis for the use of adhesive systems in the treatment of hypersensitivity of enamel and dentin.
